Drawing courses for children (8 to 12)

We offer a complete training for children aged between 8 and 12. They are usually fast learners when they are rightly motivated. We want to encourage our young artists to realize their ideas, and their passion for fine arts with teaching methods adapted to their learning process. We want to keep their learning fun and efficient so parents can witness their artistic growth.

The theory of the course "Academic drawing" for adults are a part of the course content. 

Drawing courses for teenagers (13 to 16)

We offer a complete training for teenagers aged 13 to 17. The teaching we offer is inspired by the drawing program for adults, while incorporating a more playful component where they are encouraged to develop their imagination by creating personal works. Through different exercises, they will tackle notions of observation drawing, composition, perspective, colours, etc. We want to encourage these young people to realize their passion in a suitable environment and with a pedagogy adapted to their aspirations and needs.

All lessons for teenagers begin with 1 hour of sketching based on a model chosen by the teacher. The aim of the exercise is to “warm up” the student and get used to drawing from nature without making an extensive rendering. The exercises offered will be: working in spots, working on negative spaces, working on block-in, working without looking at the sheet, working on the silhouette, working by calculation, working by intuition, working on shortcuts, working on quick sketches, working on relationships between objects and others. The main points of the program are: learning the proportions of the human face and body, the basics of perspective, observation drawing from nature, observation drawing from photos and multiple drawing techniques . The mediums covered are mainly graphite, colored pencil and dry pastel.Classes focus on learning basic drawing techniques and developing the ability to see. They are built in the same logic as the courses for children and adults but are adapted for the level of adolescents.
