Founded in 2008, the Académie des beaux-arts de Québec is a private fine art educational institution unique to Quebec City.

The Schools of Fine Arts were closed in 1969 in Quebec. Fine arts teaching is therefore no longer on the agenda of public institutions (Cegeps and universities), which are now oriented exclusively towards conceptual art.

The Académie des beaux-arts de Québec is today the only alternative for those who want to learn to draw and paint according to the rules of art.
